COURSE CONTENT

General introduction to international trade, establishing and discussing:

•  why countries trade,
•  the parties involved,
•  the different terminologies used for each of the parties in the transactions (including INCOTERMS), and
•  different methods of payment

Trade Documents

•  The five different categories of documents are examined and their purpose explained:-  Financial, Commercial, Official, Insurance and Transport.  
•  List of documents used in trade
•  Purpose of each trade document

UCP 500 and ISBP

•  The main articles of UCP 500, and
•  ISBP which are the international codes of practice will be
  
covered to enable participants to understand how documents
  
should be drawn up.
