INTRODUCTION

This programme is designed to prepare personal assistants and secretaries to face new challenges of the millennium in their duties. Personal assistants and secretaries are expected to play a more important role beyond their usual duties of note taking, being a gatekeeper, etc
At the end of this programme, participants are expected to:

Session 7:  Other Essential Skills For PA
Key Learning Areas

  • Collecting updates of news on relevant industry for the boss
  • Reading up on the industry you are in to assist boss in decision-making, when ask for an opinion
  • Looking after for your boss to assist him in his daily duties

Session 8: Putting It All Together
Discussion, review and mapping an action plan for improvement.

TRAINING METHODOLOGY

This training will be conducted in an interactive way with a lot of discussions and input from the participants. The trainer will build on the strength of the correct and good input of participants and give his input to coach and guide participants in new areas of approaches, techniques and knowledge. Cases studies and videos will be used in the training.

  • Diploma in International Advertising (Dip.IAA, New York)
  • Cert.Ed (TESOL), Pantai Valley Teachers’ College, Kuala Lumpur
  • Master in Business Administration (Hull)

Philip Tan is a management and soft skills guru, international public speaker, corporate trainer and motivator. Philip has both academia and industry experience from a diverse range of career paths that include holding senior positions in tertiary education, dotcom, advertising and marketing and hospitality training. In his dynamic career route, he has held portfolios of dean, vice president and chief executive officer. He was also the Senior Examiner for the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK (CIM). Currently, Philip also supervises the post-graduates candidates of the University of East London (UEL) in their masters dissertations.
