COURSE CONTENT

EFR Primary Care (CPR) addresses immediate life-threatening emergencies. There are 8 mandatory and 3 recommended skills covered in the course:
•Scene Assessment
•Barrier Use
•Primary Assessment
•Rescue Breathing
•One Rescuer, Adult CPR
•Serious Bleeding management
•Shock Management
•Spinal Injury Management
•Recommended Skill – Automated External Defibrillator
•Recommended Skill – Conscious Choking Adult
•Recommended Skill – Emergency Oxygen Use
The EFR Secondary Care (First Aid) course covers secondary patient assessment and first aid through 4 skills:
•Injury Assessment
•Illness Assessment
•Bandaging
•Splinting for Dislocations & Fractures.
Both Primary Care & Secondary Care EFR use a combination of knowledge development, skill development and scenario practice to ensure participants knowledge,  understanding and application.
The course is inclusive of the following items:
•EFR participant’s manual
•Count-Down Discount card
•EFR certificate of competency issued by International Liason
Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR). Will be given for those who complete the course in full.
